This paper presents some ideas about the visualization of stellar oscillations data by means of spiral maps. The applications area (Asteroseismology) is introduced before the problem itself is presented. Part of this problem is the identification of the fundamental frequencies, and some of their combinations, because this involves analysis of huge Intensity vs. Frequency graphs. The idea explored in this paper is the construction of images which encode this information in hierarchical fashion, enabling the user to easily browse the data set. The main geometry is a spiral, but color and other shapes are also used to enhance data understanding.
